Food talk

Being a foodie, i tend to indulge myself in any kind of vegetarian cuisine..Back home, when i was working, my team frequently visited restaurants and eat outs. It was either to celebrate birthdays or promotions, the best ones were treats for someone getting hooked..cos it was wholesome deal of ragging the poor guy/girl along with the benefit of enjoying a delicious spread..If nothing came along, we would always "cook up" a reason to feast on the ice creams in our canteen. The lunch treats posed a risk though, sitting cozily at my desk right under the ac vent, my eyes swirled and efforts to open up proved futile. Should say, i secretly loved the short naps, was refreshing to take on the rest of the day.

Continuing with the tradition of eating out, i have been treating my taste buds to variety of different cuisines here, Thai, Middle Eastern, Mexican, Italian. Middle Eastern and Mexican closely resemble Indian cuisine and are such a delight. Thai food was tricky, found myself gobbling the half baked veggies and the bland rice that came with it.. The "eating escapades" got me thinking and a realization dawned that Indian food beats all other cuisines hands down, especially when you have Thai food and delectable dosa the very next day it strikes you glaringly. The rich taste and aroma of our food be it a regular sambar vada or a fancy masala dosa the entire package is so delectable. No wonder our Indian cuisine is such a hit in the West, though it's considered complicated..

Complicated or not, sipping a hot rasam has accelerated my appetite readying it to take a plunge into ever- green Indian sapadu..

Have a great week ahead and keep your taste buds tickled :)
